Area 17 NCO Camp 2008
Aha! NCO Camp is finally over. Phew~~ Quite sad that the camp was gone in just a blink when the preparation for the camp really makes me feel like OMG.
First day of camp:
MORNING
Woke up so early. Tired tired. Brush teeth, bath as usual. Put on my PT-Kit and did one last check on my backpack before I leave home. Reach the campsite, JWSS School compound. Wow! The sky is still dark. First thing when I meet my squad, see if there is any jokers or potential people. Aha! Quite happy that there wasn't any jokers. Flag raising~~Ahh! Stomach ache. Told myself to hold on till the end. Managed to do that. Go and see my squad. 6 cadets. Normala, Nuri, Kian Wee, Jeeven, Tony, Syurafa. All got that semangat look. HAHA! Carry on with drills and stuffs.
AFTERNOON & NIGHT
Aziz, Amalina and Marvin joined in. Cool! Find that I can blend into the whole squad well and find out their mentality abt the camp. Ahh!!!! So cool! Dunno wat 2 say ald. Nite time comes, have debrief.
Second day of camp:
MORNING
Saw them have PT. Then breakfast. They then changed into Full-U and prepared for their MOI. Partner with Jie TIng. FInd that she's a nice lady to mix with. 2 of us seems to stare into blank space when the Squad C are doing their MOI Drills. Seems that the whole squad does not understand what is MOI. The way they teach each other seems very funny too.
AFTERNOON & NIGHT
After lunch, they have their MOI Campcraft. This time round, it is really difficult for me. I really feel like sleeping. Jie Ting looks the same.HAHA. Shr then brought coke for me. So again, saw cadets teach and teach. It was pouring heavily and it seems so nice to sleep. ZZZ...After the MOI Campcraft activity cycle, they proceed to have their dinner. Then instructors were to evaluate their MOI skills throughout the whole day. Then, the clock seems to be calling all to sleep. But wait, which instructor obey to the rule of sleeping early??HAHA! We had our instructor debrief and we wash-up. After that, all of us felt hungry. Yum Yum, time to call McDonald!! Darren called for the delivery and we waited for like an hour plus. ARGH.Hungry hungry!! We ate like nobody's business when the food arrive, even though cadets saw, i can only say, we don care. Bluek! Eat already, time to sleep!
Third day of camp:
MORNING & AFTERNOON
Morning again, doing PT. This time round, with RT. Saw that the cadets are enjoying themselves. Hmm, wondering do I look like a nurse or what. HAHA. Wenkiong came to me with casualty. Attended to the casualty, needed help. But afterall, SOLVED! Had their breakfast, then move on to play games. HAHA. The game is like so cute, find alphabets. When I look at them playing, they look like toddlers at kindergartden playing that. Debrief and headed for lecture. After the lecture, they prepare themselves for the certificate presentation for themselves. After that, they went for lunch and changed into Full-U and gathered for more practice at the hall. While I am at the hall, I saw one of my squad members swaying around. It's kinda scary to see her like that. Nuri, don't sway! Went to tell her somethings and move away. Luckily, she is able to hold on till the end of the parade. They then went to change and move on to squad debrief. Shook each and everyone of their hand from my squad. Told them that they have to buck up and I have the faith in them to become the leaders of tomorrow. Had our photos taken. The camp then ended in that way, with Mr Yeo closing it.
This camp is kinda fun and intersting. Hope to see them again. Good luck in ur future NCO journey!!!
